The Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) has published the Report on Activities 2024, a document that recounts a particularly intense year, marked by the transition to the Agency’s new governance and by a significant reorganization of technical‑scientific assessment processes.
The aim of the report is to make the Agency’s work clearer and more transparent, promoting a better understanding of its tasks in safeguarding public health. The document gathers data and information relating to the various areas in which AIFA operates, including: the protection of health through medicines, the international role and support for innovation, access to reimbursement and pharmaceutical governance, pharmacovigilance and the promotion of independent research, inspections and quality controls, oversight of the information provided by pharmaceutical companies, as well as economic, administrative and legal activities.
