The Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) has made available the 2025 edition of the Report ‘Horizon Scanning: scenario of upcoming medicinal products’, a strategic tool that provides an overview of new medicines and new indications that received a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) during 2024 or that may obtain one in 2025
The Horizon Scanning Report confirms its role as a key tool for anticipating the impact of therapeutic innovations on the National Health Service, providing useful information for planning resources and access strategies. The objective is to ensure equity, sustainability and timeliness in the introduction of new treatments, with particular attention to areas of greatest clinical need.
