The Value of Therapeutic Adherence and the Management of Chronic Patients

We are pleased to announce the cross-sector event “Therapeutic Adherence: Shared Strategies for the Management of Chronic Patients.”
This day of discussion and debate is dedicated to addressing the critical challenge of adherence to pharmacological therapies, a factor which, according to the recent OsMed 2024 report, shows a concerning upward trend in low adherence, with direct impacts on patients’ health (especially those over 85) and on the costs of the National Health Service.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to explore the clinical and economic implications of poor adherence, recognizing the urgency of adopting modifiable behaviors and strategies, and to engage with all key stakeholders in the system – general practitioners, specialists, pharmacists, and institutions – who play a key role in defining support strategies, as well as to analyze the implementation of innovative services such as adherence monitoring provided by Community Pharmacy services for chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, and COPD).
The ultimate goal of this event is to identify and share effective approaches for the management of chronic patients and for continuous adherence monitoring, defining integrated guidelines to be proposed within regional healthcare policies.
